AMMON Staffing is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to provide healthcare services within a school setting in St. John Parish. Clinic experience is preferred. This is a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy working with students and making a positive impact by promoting a safe and healthy school environment.

Pay: $42/hour

School Nurse Responsibilities:

The School Nurse will provide day-to-day healthcare services to students, including assessing and treating illnesses and minor injuries, responding to medical emergencies, maintaining accurate student health records, and communicating with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers as needed. Responsibilities will also include conducting vision and hearing screenings, ensuring students are current with immunization requirements, administering prescribed medications, performing diabetic checks and other routine health-related procedures, and supporting overall student health and wellness.

The School Nurse will also be responsible for entering Medicaid billing information into the EIS system. Prior experience with EIS is preferred; however, training can be provided if needed.

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
School nursing, pediatric, or clinic experience preferred
Ability to provide safe, compassionate care to students
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate medical records
