Oil & Gas Worker – Safety Study

Job Position: Research Participant (Oil & Gas Safety)
Location: Robert, LA
Pay Rate: $300.00 day rate
Shift: One 8-hour day shift

Job Requirements:

• Experience in Oil & Gas industry is required.
• Prior experience in safety studies is preferred
• Drug Screen
• Background Check

Job overview:

Selected candidates will participate in a safety/human factors research study at the job site by attending scheduled 1-Day Sessions during the project window and following all University instructions and site safety requirements. Participants will complete required study activities such as surveys, questionnaires, brief interviews, observation-based tasks, and/or feedback forms as directed by the University research team to support data collection. The goal of this study is to learn how safety interventions such as safety training, stop-work and reporting procedures, and a safety mobile app for oil and gas workers influence task performance, workload, self-efficacy, sense of empowerment, and organizational training.

Participants are expected to arrive on time, remain professional, maintain confidentiality regarding study materials and processes, and comply with any PPE/access rules
required by the facility.

Project Dates: September 21, 2026 – October 2, 2026.
