AMMON Staffing is hiring an experienced Shipping & Receiving Coordinator!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Pay: $19–$21/hour, depending on experience

• Full-Time | Monday–Friday

• Location: Geismar, LA

• Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred

• Forklift experience required

• Class IV Internal Combustion Forklift Certification required

• Must be computer literate and comfortable entering inventory information

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

• Must be able to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  
  ABOUT THE POSITION

  We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage incoming and outgoing inventory, maintain accurate inventory records, prepare materials for shipment, and coordinate transportation with outside carriers.

  This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, computer, and administrative responsibilities. The right candidate will be comfortable moving between the warehouse and computer work and will take ownership of keeping inventory and shipments accurate and on schedule.

  WHAT YOU'LL DO

  Shipping & Receiving
  
  Receive and inspect incoming shipments

• Compare shipments against packing lists, manifests, invoices, and orders

• Report inventory discrepancies to the appropriate departments

• Move incoming materials to the appropriate inspection and storage areas

• Pull and prepare inventory for customer shipments

• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure orders are accurate

• Pack, label, seal, and prepare materials for shipment

• Prepare bills of lading, shipping orders, work orders, and other required paperwork

• Schedule carrier pickups and provide shipping and delivery instructions
  
  Inventory

  • Enter incoming and outgoing inventory information into the company's inventory system

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation

  • Store materials and supplies in the correct warehouse locations

  • Complete inventory adjustments, receipts, and reversals as needed

  • Help maintain accurate and proactive inventory control

  Warehouse & Equipment

  • Safely operate a forklift in a warehouse environment

  • Move and organize materials and inventory

  • Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse

  • Order and maintain shipping supplies such as boxes, tape, pallets, and other materials

  Company Vehicle
  
  Perform basic daily vehicle inspections, including tires, fluids, and fuel

• Drive company vehicles to a nearby fuel station or service location when needed

• Help coordinate routine vehicle maintenance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Class IV Internal Combustion Forklift Certification

• Forklift operating experience

• Valid driver's license

• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter data

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment

• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds

• Reliable attendance and strong dependability

Preferred:

• Shipping and receiving experience

• Warehouse or inventory experience

• Experience with inventory management or tracking software

• Microsoft Office experience, particularly Outlook and Word

• Experience with shipping and labeling software

• Experience preparing shipping documents and working with freight carriers
